*Expressing an OpinionⅡ*

Living in a modern generation, there’s no surprise that some students no longer wanted to wear uniform. In my opinion, I approved the idea that students went to school in uniforms. Firstly, if every student wore uniforms to school, it seemed order and it was convenient for school to manage. If everyone wore the same, the rules of clothes can be regulated easily. Secondly, if students of each school dressed in different uniforms, people could identify them by first sight. Every time an activity was held, the school authority could learn students’ identifications and knew which one was their student. Lastly, wearing uniforms could prevent students from spending too much time in choosing their clothes to school every day. While some thought that it couldn’t reach everyone’s requirement, I considered that one could make little change on their clothes in circumstances of not being punished. Because of these facts, it is self-evident that it’s better to wear uniforms to school.

Nowadays, one of the most hotly debated issues was whether the death sentence was a reasonable form of punishment or not. As far as I am concerned, I support to use it as a punishment. Of course some people would say that it was cruel and against the human rights, but I deemed that they never stood in other’s shoes. If one day their beloved ones were murdered, I thought they would not insist on their idea. To begin with, it’s the most powerful way to penalize someone who committed crime, for once using this punishment, that criminal was not be able to commit anymore. Next, if a convict committed repeatedly and never repented, the death penalty was the only way to stop it from doing again. Last, if the death sentence was conducted, there would be fewer people to commit crime. Since they knew if they did so, there was only a consequence, death. Taking into an account all of these points, it should be clear that the death penalty should be used as a punishment.

*Comparing-2_Revised*

In history, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were two men whose backgrounds were nearly identical. Although John was born on October 19th, 1735 while Thomas was born on April 13th, 1743, they both died on July 4th, 1926. And similarly, they played an important role in American Revolution. Likewise, both of them were delegates to the Continental Congress. Additionally, John and Thomas are alike in being the president of United States. Finally, John studied and practiced law, and so did Thomas. It is so interesting that we can find four similar features between two men.

How amazing when you find the information on driver licenses of two people are almost the same, such as Stephanie Brooks and Ann Friedman. First, Stephanie was born on July 31st, 1970. Likewise, Ann was born on July 31st, 1970. In addition, the color of Stephanie’s eyes is similar to that of Ann’s, is brown. Moreover, both Stephanie and Ann have black hair. Even more, Stephanie is as high as Ann. It is hard to believe that there are two driver licenses whose information is alike except for the name.

Wanting to hire an English instructor, I compared Lynn Whitenall and Debra Fines' résumés and selected the latter. To begin with, the education experience of Debra was much more than Lynn's. Debra has taught triple universities than Lynn. Next, Debra had been hired as various position of language while Lynn's were few. Then, Lynn learned four languages; in contrast, Debra learned two. But since what I wanted was an English instructor, Debra didn't seem to be worse than Lynn. Lastly, unlike Lynn who won a teaching award, Debra didn't have any; whereas, Debra has published plenty of English-related books. Judging from differences above, I chose Debra for an English instructor for my school in the end.

Comparing about the differences between Fairfax Apartments and CAMPUS APTS, we finally chose the former. First of all, the Fairfax Apartments had two large bedrooms while CAMPUS APTS only had one. And we wanted to have personal space. Secondly, the former was furnished; however, the latter wasn't. We considered it convenient for not having to buy furniture. In addition, we could keep pets in CAMPUS APTS. On the other hand, Fairfax Apartments didn't allow us. Fortunately, both of us were unwilling to keep animals. Lastly, unlike the rent of CAMPUS which was $900, that of Fairfax was $1250 per month. Though the latter was more expensive, we thought that we could have part-time jobs so it didn't matter. Discussing about the distinctive of Fairfax Apartments and CAMPUS APTS, we picked the more costly one for a more comfortable environment.

There are few sports that I like, two of which are tennis and badminton. They are not identical but they have many common features. First, the two sports need racquet and ball to play and the racquet of tennis is similar to that of badminton. Second, people have to play them with nets to distinct each other. Likewise, both tennis and badminton have singles, doubles, and mix doubles of two gender. Last, the way to win tennis and badminton is alike. People have to hit the ball that their opponents can't return back. To sum up, the two sports are resembled and tennis is as famous as badminton.

Giving Reasons_Revised

“Take these wings” is such a beautiful song that I was deeply moved on hearing it at the chorus.
“I found a sparrow…Her life I knew would soon be at an end….she said, ‘My friend, take these wings and learn to fly….’” In the first paragraph, the sparrow which is dying wants to devote what she possesses to the human. I admire her nobility for it’s difficult for us to give even we know that we can’t be the owner. As for the refrain, “‘Take these eyes and learn to see, all the things so dear to me. Take these songs…fill your voice with all the joys of spring….’” Although she is on the verge of dying, she still tries to teach people to treasure what we hold. Tiny as eyes or songs, we should appreciate their existence. Moreover, we should cherish everything we have and make the best use of it as well. “I found another sparrow…whose life had just begun….I smiled at him and said, ‘My son, take these wings….’” The spirit of rebirth and the chain of love really appeal to me. I realize that there is always laughter following behind the sorrow, which inspires me to stay joyful as suffering the pain.
I was touched not only by the elegant music but also by the spirit inside it. And I also learned a lot from the sweet lyrics.
